Peek at the Glacier and Whale Watching Adventure
From $160 per child | $189 per adult | 3.75 Hours
Southeast Alaska’s two biggest bucket-list sights, in one afternoon.
No full-day commitment required.
See It All Without Losing Your Whole Day
Juneau sits inside the Tongass National Forest, the largest temperate rainforest on Earth — which means rain is always a possibility. This tour is built for guests who want to see Mendenhall Glacier but don’t want to risk getting soaked, don’t want a long walk, and don’t want to give up a big chunk of their day in port to do it.
You’ll spend two hours on the water in our covered, heated boats searching for humpback whales, orcas, and other Southeast Alaska marine life. Then it’s a quick 15-minute stop at the glacier — just enough time to step off the bus, take your photo in front of one of the most photographed glaciers in the world, and get back on board.
Have you ever wanted to walk right up to the bottom of a waterfall? This is an extended glacier and whales combo, so you have two hours to both visit the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, where you can learn everything there is to know about the glacier and surrounding wildlife, and make the 1.5 mile round trip hike to Nugget Falls, where you will have a much closer view of the Mendenhall Glacier! You can also make a stop at Steep Creek, where you might be able to glimpse local wildlife–maybe even a black bear! Combined with approximately two hours whale watching, this tour showcases the best parts of Juneau.
