This tour includes everything our Mendenhall Glacier Visit and Whale Watching Tour has to offer, plus extra time at the Mendenhall Glacier Recreation Area to hike the trail to Nugget Falls, a 377-ft waterfall cascading right next to the glacier. The hike is 1.5 miles round trip and is fairly easy, taking around an hour to complete, and you may spot wildlife along the way! Feel free to take your time to explore–you will have 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Have you ever wanted to walk right up to the bottom of a waterfall? This is an extended glacier and whales combo, so you have two hours to both visit the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, where you can learn everything there is to know about the glacier and surrounding wildlife, and make the 1.5 mile round trip hike to Nugget Falls, where you will have a much closer view of the Mendenhall Glacier! You can also make a stop at Steep Creek, where you might be able to glimpse local wildlife–maybe even a black bear! Combined with approximately two hours whale watching, this tour showcases the best parts of Juneau.
